For a number of years now, I have been an avid participant in many of the American Volkssport Association sponsored walking events.  In fact, I have spent many wonderful vacation hours planning our trips to include walks all around the country.  These non-competitive walks allow visitors to see many interesting sites through the eyes of local club members who enjoy showing off their towns.  As part of my personal celebration of these events, I have decided to offer commemorative awards to highlight the activity, and bring back memories of my favorite places.  For more information about the AVA, and the activities they offer, go to http://www.ava.org/ and discover the beauty America has to offer.  Click on the image for a look in higher resolution.
