While planning an economy trip to somewhere, my wife and I struggled to decide where to go.  After looking at the nearby sights, maps, and options within our meager budget, we decided to base ourselves in Springfield, Missouri, and travel around the Springfield, Branson, and Eureka Springs areas.  Since Springfield was always a place we drove through to get to Branson, we decided to see if there was anything in Springfield worth seeing.  This series of beautiful matted photo treatments comes from that effort.  Some might conclude we are just easy to please, but I like what we brought back with us to use on this site.  The first picture is a foot bridge across the tracks in old downtown Springfield, which was going through some face lifting while we were there.
